Since the inception of the Rangers, more than 50 players have scored at least 100 goals for the team. Here are the team’s three leading goal scorers of all time:
1. Rod Gilbert – An eight-time All-Star, Gilbert played his entire 18-year career with the Rangers, scoring 406 goals in 1,065 games from 1960 to 1978. He scored at least 20 goals per season in 12 seasons, and achieved a career-best 43 goals in the 1971-72 season.
2. Jean Ratelle – A teammate of Gildbert for much of his career, Ratelle played for the Rangers from 1960 to 1976, during which time he scored 336 goals. He also played six seasons with the Boston Bruins before retiring in 1981.
3. Adam Graves – Selected by the Detroit Red Wings in the second round of the 1986 NHL Entry Draft, Graves split four seasons between Detroit and the Edmonton Oilers before joining the Rangers in 1991. Through 772 regular season games with the team, he scored 280 goals and added 227 assists for 507 points.
